Over 25 entrepreneurs came to the first ever Entrepreneur Week event last week at Kent State University at Stark in Canton, Ohio. I gave a three hour workshop on the 10 steps to Financial Success for Creative Entrepreneurs to a group of artists, photographers, musicians and others just beginning their creative entrepreneur careers. It was a great afternoon! The next day I got to tour Canton’s up and coming art district and talk with several artists. Canton, its SBDC and its economic development community are striving to make people aware of the strong link between the creativity and innovation of art and a vibrant, thriving economy.
