Solopreneurship is one of the fastest growing forms of business. It is so easy to enter a solo enterprise. You are bringing the capital for the business with your skill set and your knowledge. I call it monetizing your expertise. You can sell what you know or what you know how to do. People are looking for what you have to sell. The trick is to describe it in a way that potential clients understand. Figuring out how to talk about your work is often harder than doing the work. Carefully choose and practice what you have to say. Try it out on people. Notice what resonates with listeners—that little electric “zing.” Get your statement down pat and use it again and again. Be as familiar with your statement about your work as you are with your own name.
